With the trail of summer blockbusters coming to its close, Maryland Morning's movie experts Jed Dietz and Mike Sragow sit down to sort through the upcoming rush of fall flicks. And they've already found several standouts.
Front and center is the comedy Sleepwalk with Me, produced by Baltimore's very own Ira Glass, of This American Life fame. Sleepwalk charts the struggles of aspiring comic Matt Pandamiglio (Mike Birbiglia) as he tries to navigate relationship fears, dim career prospects and a sudden penchant for sleepwalking.
Also on their list is Searching for Sugar Man, a poignant documentary on a long-forgotten musician's surprising fame in apartheid South Africa.
Jed and Mike also discuss the latest installment of the Bourne franchise, Rashida Jones' scriptwriting debut Celeste & Jesse Forever and the award-winning comedy Robot & Frank.
