This segment originally aired December 29, 2010.
Ira Glass, host and executive producer of “This American Life” has turned some of his attention to producing for the eye, and not just the ear.
Glass is the producer of the film “Sleepwalk With Me,” which is being released in theatres on August 24.
"Sleepwalk With Me" hits the Charles Theatre on September 6. Mike Birbiglia, who stars in and directed the film, is on tour and will make a stop in Baltimore on October 18.
Glass' show "This American Life", which is produced by Chicago Public Media, hit the airwaves in 1995.
Sheilah interviewed the Baltimore native in December 2010 and asked him about his early career at NPR, the show's now trademark style, and his process for crafting “This American Life.”
