Older cities and towns across Maryland are spending almost $3 billion over the next 14 years on construction projects designed to end chronic problems with sewage overflows during rain storms.  In places like Baltimore's Herring Run Park (shown above), and in the Western Maryland town of La Vale, workers are rebuilding leaky and antiquated sewer lines to comply with orders from EPA and the Maryland Department of the Environment.

Clogged Sewers Like Clogged Arteries

Maryland's underground sewage problems today are no different than a person for years going into fast-food restaurants and heavily consuming Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) which eventually can lead to clogged arteries and major surgery. Maryland will be spending $3 billion over the next 14 years to rebuild their underground arteries. Preventative maintenance and what we eat is a key factor in keeping our sanitary sewer lines or our human arteries healthy and clean.

FOG is a major reason why older cities and towns in Maryland and other states are paying the price now and will continue to do so in the future. We probably will continue to abuse our sewer lines and our own arteries with fatty foods, so our solution at Green N Cleen is to immediately eliminate the FOG clogs underground because our 'sexy microbes' love to digest the FOG into water. We are only one part of the solution but we have a pro-active solution. Also eat healthy!!
