Marylanders, including Mr. Phelps, are making waves (sorry, couldn't help ourselves) over in London. We talk about his medal count, and check in on on other Olympians from the Old Line State, including penathlete Suzanne Stettinius (her event's on Sunday, August 12) and kayaker Caroline Queen (who came in 17th in the slalom kayak).
Plus, could the Orioles be within striking distance of the Yankees? Statistically, the Orioles are one of the worst teams in baseball. But they've got a chance at the ACLS, which they've done by winning close games, extra-inning games, low-scoring games, and so forth.
Tom Hall talks about all this with sports journalist Mark Hyman, author of The Most Expensive Game in Town: The Rising Cost of Youth Sports and the Toll on Today's Families.
