Our new series, the WYPR and Maryland Film Festival Spotlight, kicked off last week with a conversation with screenwriter Lucy Alibar about her screen debut Beasts of the Southern Wild. For the series, our arts and culture ace Tom Hall will be interviewing filmmakers and screenwriters whose work is being featured by the Festival.
