Will the energy bars you give you an athletic boost? Tom Hall talks with the Nutrition Diva Monica Reinagel about the best food for athletes to eat.  In addition to hearing her on the radio, you can catch Monica's dulcet tones and nutrition know-how on her podcast.

And speaking of Maryland athletes—we’ve been interviewing a number of Marylanders who will be representing the USA in the Olympics, including Suzanne Stettinius, who’s competing in the pentathlon, and Jessica Long, who’s a Paralympic swimmer.  If you know of an athlete in Olympic training, let us know at mdmorning@wypr.org or call us at 410-881-3162.

And you non-Olympians—we want to hear from you, too. If you want to share your story of training for the marathon, for the half marathon, or even your first 5K – let us know.  Again, the number is 410-881-3162.
