This conversation first aired April 17, 2012.
Marylanders are celebrating the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 throughout the year. Back in April, students from the Baltimore School for the Arts presented a theatrical work called “Fighting for Freedom.” They did it not in a theater, but at Fort McHenry, one of the most iconic settings of the War of 1812.
In April, Tom Hall spoke with two of the students in the play, Lance Strickland and T’Pre Mayer, as well as BSA faculty member Norah Worthington.
