The Center for Public Integrity, PRI and the non-profit Global Integrity … spent months researching openness and the risk of corruption in the states. They gave Maryland a D minus. We ask the reporter who researched Maryland WHY it got such a low mark, and get reaction from Governor O’Malley’s staff.
Then – A bill before the General Assembly would require the state to keep some of its deposits in locally-owned banks. We’ll hear from Michael Flynn of Eagle Bank in Bethesda, who supports the bill, and Kathleen Murphy, President of the Maryland Bankers' Association.
And – Tom Hall talks with gardener and writer Anne Raver about how early spring is affecting our plants.
Plus – the Maryland Morning Culture Calendar.
