A joint General Assembly committee is recommending that Democratic Senator Ulysses Currie be censured for his ethical lapses. Meanwhile, a special Senate committee is trying to reform ethics rules for the rest of the legislature. We’ll talk to Common Cause Maryland executive director Susan Wichmann and Democratic State Senator Jamie Raskin about potential changes in how Maryland’s legislators police themselves. Azar Nafisi’s book “Reading Lolita in Tehran” illustrated the power of literature to sustain the human spirit in times of oppression. On Tuesday, Nafisi will be featured at the Meyerhoff as part of Stevenson University’s Baltimore Speakers Series. Today, she tells us what we can learn from Iran’s culture. And Tom Hall talks sports with Mark Hyman.
