This segment originally aired on July 18, 2012.
A lot of us don’t have much more of an image of the Port of Baltimore than the tall cranes we see as we pass the port exit off I-95. Or, what we might see if we’re lucky enough to book a cruise. We don’t know much about the port’s sprawling footprint, the people who work there, or the seafarers who man the ships that dock there.
And, most of us don’t know there’s a chaplain who runs something called the Baltimore International Seafarers’ Center. For the past seven years, that chaplain has been the Rev. Mary Davisson. Sheilah spoke with her last July about the center's work.
