It’s mid-December, when everyday life—usually busy—can accelerate to unthinkably hectic speed. You can end up rushing from work to an elementary school production of the Nutcracker to a holiday party.  All those different events can require different attire.  What's the best way to go from day to night?

Sheilah gets solutions from our style tutor Zoey Washington, who joins us semi-regularly to talk about fashion. She’s CEO of the Baltimore-based company LITTLEbird, a fashion consulting service for the teen and tween demographic.  She talks about the one must-have accessory of the season--a chunky signature necklace.  Check out hers at the right.  Also, don't be afraid to add a little leather to your look.

In these web extras, you can hear about the signature color of the upcoming season--blue--and how to wear layers without looking frumpy.

work to party

I felt this piece was a little disconnected. The interviewer did not appear comfortable with the guest style tutor. What the heck is a style tutor? Yikes. I had to keep reminding myself that this was WPR. or perhaps I am just a little too old for this sort of story.
