Influential fiber artist Lenore Tawney is being honored with an exhibit at the Maryland Institute College of Art this winter. The exhibit, called Lenore Tawney: Wholly Unlooked For, opened December 7 and will run through March 17 at MICA's Fox Building. Two other solo exhibits by fiber artists Sandra Brownlee and Rowland Ricketts will be shown at the Fox Building while Tawney's work is up.
The exhibits are curated by the chair of the fiber department at MICA, Piper Shepard, and faculty member (and fiber artist), Susie Brandt. Tom Hall talks with them about the exhibits, as well as with artist Sandra Brownlee.
