It’s a pterodactyl. Or, maybe an ink blot. No, it’s blood spatter… Opinions are mixed on what some of Maryland’s new Congressional districts look like. What is clear is that they are gerrymandered for political purposes.

Voters will decide whether to uphold Maryland’s new gerrymandered redistricting map next week. But, if they vote down the map, will it force a change in how future maps are drawn?

Joining us to talk about it is Justin Levitt, a professor at Loyola Law School Los Angeles. He’s closely followed redistricting in states around the country. And, we're also joined by Len Lazarick of marylandreporter.com. He’s been following redistricting in Maryland.

Here's a link to Len Lazarick's recent commentary on redistricting.

And, Justin Levitt runs the website "All About Redistricting", where you can learn more about redistricting across the country.

Here's a non-technical summary of the redisctricting map question on the ballot, Question 5.
