White House seeking new regulator for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac

The White House is beginning preparations to nominate a new director to lead the Federal Housing Finance Agency, the agency that oversees Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, as soon as early next year, The Wall Street Journal reported.
