Walters Art Museum names Julia Marciari-Alexander executive director
The Walters Art Museum has named a new executive director to replace longtime head Gary Vikan.
Julia Marciari-Alexander, a 15-year veteran of museums and art, will begin work as executive director at the Baltimore museum on April 1. Vikan announced in March he was retiring from the museum after 18 years as executive director.
