Walmart to hire every American veteran who wants a job
Wal-Mart intends to roll out a five-year plan Tuesday to hire every American veteran who wants a job, the New York Times reported. The veterans must have left the military in the previous year and not received a dishonorable discharge.
Set to begin Memorial Day, the initiative is expected to lead to the hiring of more than 100,000 people, company officials said. as the Times reported, the unemployment rate for veterans has been consistently above that for non-veterans.
