Vacant homes tarnish some Prince George's County neighborhoods
As it works to recover from the housing downturn, Prince George's County is dealing with more than the usual number of vacant homes, The Washington Post reports.
Prince George’s County had one of the highest percentages of vacant homes of any county in the Washington region at 7.4 percent, according to data in the 2010 Census. That compares with 4.6 percent in Prince William County, another local area that took a big hit from the housing meltdown.
