US Airways chief has high hopes for American Airlines merger
Doug Parker, CEO of US Airways Group Inc., thinks American Airlines will perform at the top of the airline industry within a few years after the merger with his airline is completed, Bloomberg reported.
Parker told Bloomberg he'd never felt knocked down despite past failed merger attempts, and he said he loves the intracacies of the airline business. Parker is slated to become CEO of the combined airline once the merger is approved.
