Tribune Co. looking for single buyer for Baltimore Sun, 7 other newspapers
Tribune Co., owner of the Baltimore Sun among seven other newspapers, wants to sell all its papers to a single buyer rather than piecemeal, Bloomberg News reported Monday, quoting two inside sources. Freedom Communications Inc., which publishes the Orange County Register and other papers in California and Arizona, is a potential buyer for the entire chain.
