Thousands get into holiday spirit at city's monument lighting | VIDEO
Carols, food trucks and crowds converge at 41st annual event
At the 41st annual lighting of the Washington Monument, another winter season in Charm City was launched. Kids and teens, young adults and older couples all looked skyward together as the stringed lights lit up, lasers shot patterns across Mount Vernon's trees and a finale of fireworks burst into the air, all to the most dramatic holiday classics.
