These graduates STRIVE for success
After four weeks of refining their resumes, honing their interviewing skills and learning to work as part of a team, 39 graduates celebrated their completion of the STRIVE workforce development program Feb. 8.
STRIVE is a four-week class at the Center for Urban Families in Mondawmin held nine times per year. The program focuses more on attitudinal shifts and empowerment than technical training, and staff members at the center recruit people from all walks of life who have struggled to find employment…
