Super Bowl generates record 24 million tweets

Super Bowl XLVII, with its freak power outage and Beyonce's splashy halftime show, generated a record 24.1 million posts on Twitter Sunday night, the Associated Press reported, as published by U.S. News & World Report.

The total was up 10.4 million from last year's 13.7 million tweets, not including chatter surrounding the TV commercials, which most viewers seemed to consider less than impressive.
