State prosecutor investigates Montgomery Co. campaign practices

A criminal investigation into whether Montgomery County officials improperly used county resources during two ongoing referendum campaigns has been launched by the Maryland state prosecutor, the Washington Post reported Tuesday.

The county has created websites and put ads on its Ride On buses relative to two ballot measures, a local police labor law and a county hiring authority for people with severe disabilities.
