Skanska USA to build $30.8M complex at Fort Meade
Skanska USA Building Inc., a national construction firm, has signed a $30.8 million deal to build a new complex at Fort George G. Meade.
The contract between Skanska USA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers calls for the construction of a 75,000 square-foot headquarters building for the United States Army’s Asymmetric Warfare Group. Skanska will also construct a 2,700 square-foot visitor control center, a 7,000 square-foot vehicle maintenance and fabrication facility. In addition, the US Army has the option to select Skanska to construct a 15,000 square-foot building for the Department of Public Works one mile away from the new Asymmetric Warfare Group complex.
