Silver Spring Transit Center woes persist

There are fresh concerns about the Silver Spring Transit Center, The Washington Post reported. Consultants with KCE Structural Engineers have identified problems beyond previously disclosed issues with the thickness and strength of concrete in some areas of the bus-and-train hub.

The transit center is more than two years behind schedule already and $80 million over its original budget.
