Rite Aid settles ADA disability case with EEOC, pays $250K

Rite Aid Corp. has agreed to pay $250,000 to settle federal claims filed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that the drugstore chain dismissed an employee because he had epilepsy, the Maryland Daily Record reported.

Washington, D.C., attorneys for Christopher Fultz, who worked in the store's pharmaceutical distribution facility in Perryman for 10 years between 1998-2008, will receive $158,800 under the settlement reached with the EEOC. Fultz will get $91,200.
