Rawlings-Blake's 2014 budget plan includes new taxi, billboard taxes

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake on Wednesday proposed a $2.4 billion budget calling for new taxes on cab rides and billboards, while giving city workers a 2 percent cost of living pay raise.

The fiscal 2014 budget would close a projected $30 million deficit and piggyback off a 10-year plan the mayor released earlier this year that aims to improve the city’s finances and grow Baltimore by 10,000 families.
