Rawlings-Blake: Cut Baltimore property taxes by 20% in 10 years
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake in her annual State of the City address on Monday called for reforms that would cut property taxes for homeowners by 20 percent over the next 10 years and reshape tax incentives for development projects.
In the address, Rawlings-Blake also hinted tax changes for nonprofits, changing pension plans for new city workers to a 401(k)-style benefit plan and adding 10 hours a week to the work week of city firefighters — a move designed to the end the threat of firehouse…
