Raven could join Baltimore Oriole as official state bird

In the wake of the Baltimore Ravens' victory in the Super Bowl, Maryland legislators are considering making the raven an official state bird, WBAL-TV Channel 11 reported.

If so designated, the raven would share the honor with the oriole, which was designated the state bird back in 1947.
