'Rail Girls' coding event for women a big hit in Baltimore
Kate Bladow usually has to comb the crowd to find a few women at the technology events she attends. So she was surprised when a computer coding event for women she is helping organize sold out in two weeks.
All 75 tickets to Rails Girls Baltimore are spoken for and the waiting list is about 30 people long, Bladow said. The March 1-2 event at Betamore incubator in Federal Hill is intended to help women learn how to use coding programs and develop Web applications.
