Quad/Graphics receives court approval to buy Vertis
A U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge has approved Vertis Holdings Inc.’s $258.5 million sale to Quad/Graphics Inc., clearing the way for the deal to close.
The deal between the Baltimore direct-mail marketing firm and Sussex, Wis.-based Quad/Graphics (NYSE: QUAD) was unveiled Oct. 10, the same day Vertis announced it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The companies said Thursday they are in the final stages of integration planning and expect to close the deal in January.
