Push for fracking moratorium hyped with water test outside Md. State House
Demonstrators took to the Maryland State House on the first day of the General Assembly in Annapolis to demonstrate against hydraulic fracturing or fracking for natural gas in the state, the Washington Post reported.
The activists were promoting a bill to be introduced in the House of Delegates that would put a moratorium on fracking in the state until more studies of its impact on the environment and public health are completed.
