It might look dark and dusty now, but when The Ivy in Mount Vernon is complete by April 2014 the owners envision the boutique hotel as a “live-in museum” that combines classic art and architecture with modern comfort.
The $18 million project will ultimately create a “super boutique hotel” at the corner of Calvert and Biddle streets. Of the hotel’s 18 rooms, about half will be three-room suites, with averages rates at $650 per night.
