Petty officer, wife testify at military hearing 

The estranged wife of a petty officer in the Navy choked back tears as she testified Wednesday at a military hearing that he threw a pot at her head, threatened her once with a knife when she was in the shower and tried to smother her on another occasion by pushing her head into a pillow.
