Peter Franchot won't run for Maryland governor in 2014
Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot said Tuesday he will not run for governor in 2014, ending months of speculation regarding his future.
On his website, Franchot wrote that he will instead seek re-election as the state’s comptroller.
“This is a decision that I have made after a great deal of personal reflection,” Franchot wrote.
“It is no secret that in recent months, I have given thought to running for governor,” he added.
