O'Malley's budget aims to spur cyber security, film industry

Gov. Martin O’Malley’s proposed $37 billion fiscal 2014 budget includes bigger tax credits for research and development, biotechnology companies, the state’s film industry and a new tax credit for cyber security firms.

Calling it “a jobs budget,” O’Malley also unveiled on Wednesday in Annapolis a $3.7 billion capital budget he said would support 43,000 jobs in the state through spending on new school construction and transportation projects.
