O'Malley to back medical marijuana research bill
Gov. Martin O'Malley and his administration are prepared to support a bill that would create a research-based medical marijuana program for Maryland, WBAL-TV Channel 11 reported.
If the bill as currently written is amended, state Health Secretary Joshua Sharfstein will speak in favor of it today in Annapolis. Details of the amendments are expected to be outlined during Sharfstein's testimony before a House of Delegates committee.
