Neuman names former rival as Arundel chief of staff

Newly named Anne Arundel County Executive Laura Neuman Monday evening picked a former competitor for the position to be her chief of staff, the Annapolis Capital reported.

Annapolis Alderman David Cordle, a special investigator in the Anne Arundel State's Attorney's Office, was in the race to replace disgraced former County Executive John R. Leopold, who resigned after being convicted of misconduct in office.
