National Aquarium to recreate beach in new exhibit; plans to raise $75M
Most tanks at the National Aquarium in Baltimore say “Do not tap on glass.” But a new exhibit proposed for the Inner Harbor attraction will actually encourage visitors to get their hands wet.
Atlantic Shorelines is the next new exhibit set to join the aquarium’s offerings after completion of a $12.5 million Blacktip Reef exhibit this summer. The $3 million to $4 million new showcase — complete with two touch pools — will open in 2014 on the third floor of the original aquarium building.…
