M&T Bank remains top Baltimore-area SBA lender in 4Q
M&T Bank Corp. was the largest U.S. Small Business Administration lender in the Baltimore area in fourth quarter of 2012.
The Buffalo, N.Y.-based bank has perennially been the biggest maker of SBA-guaranteed loans in Greater Baltimore. This time, it wrote 48 loans for a combined $5.97 million for Baltimore-area companies under SBA’s flagship 7(a) program during the three months ended Dec. 31.
Banks wrote a total of 92 loans, worth just over $27 million during the period from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31…
