Mormon temple residence is a 'convent' for Maryland tax purposes

A recent Maryland Court of Appeals decision classified the residence associated with the Washington, D.C., Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a convent for tax purposes, Forbes reported. The ruling means the Montgomery County residence is exempt from property taxes.
