Military Bowl attendance hits new low
The Military Bowl posted its lowest attendance yet in its five-year history, underscoring the capricious nature of arranging fan-friendly matchups in the college bowl business, the Washington Business Journal reported.
Only 17,835 tickets were sold at RFK Stadium to watch San Jose State hold off Bowling Green, 29-20. That's about 5,000 fewer than the previous low-water mark set in 2009, when it was still known as the EagleBank Bowl.
