Md. Senate passes bill to decriminalize small amounts of marijuana

The threat of jail time for possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana could be removed if the Maryland House of Delegates follows suit and approves legislation passed Wednesday by the State Senate decriminalizing the drug, the Annapolis Capital reported.

However, the bill will likely not receive a warm reception by the House Judiciary Committee.
