Md. schools ranked No. 1 for 5th consecutive year

For the fifth year in a row, Maryland's public school system ranked as the best in America, according to rankings published Thursday by Education Week, a leading education publication that gave the state high marks for post-graduation outcomes, overall student achievement and state funding levels, WBAL-TV Channel 11 reported.
