McCormick profit rises in 4Q; stock tumbles after missing estimates
McCormick & Co. Inc.’s earnings rose 13 percent in the fourth quarter, but the flavoring giant’s stock took a dive on Thursday morning after the company missed Wall Street estimates.
Sparks-based McCormick (NYSE: MKC) reported a profit of $148.5 million, or $1.11 per share, during the quarter. That compares with a profit of $131.7 million, or 98 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter.
