Maryland Senator proposes gambling revenue be used for expanding pre-K programs
State Sen. Bill Ferguson knows what he wants to do with a portion of the revenue Maryland will receive from an expansion of casino gambling in the state.
Ferguson plans to introduce legislation to use some of that money to expand pre-Kindergarten programs in Maryland to 3- and 4-year-olds, the Baltimore Democrat told me Monday. He’s calling the program “Race to the Tots.”
