Maryland Senate President Miller: 'Wind energy will pass'
A proposal to allow wind turbines off Ocean City's coast — creating an estimated 6,000 to 8,500 jobs — will not get left behind in the General Assembly this year, Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller Jr. said.
"Wind energy will pass the General Assembly this session," Miller said Wednesday morning at the Business Journal's annual Annapolis Summit.
In each of the last two years, wind energy bills authorizing such turbines passed in the House of Delegates but stalled in the Senate Finance Committee.…
