Maryland sees little change in number of foreclosure sales
Maryland’s year-over-year foreclosure sales ticked upward during the third quarter — but only slightly.
There were 1,361 foreclosure sales during the third quarter, a 0.73 percent increase from the third quarter of 2011, according to market research firm RealtyTrac Inc. The number of foreclosure sales declined 4.4 percent from the second quarter.
Maryland's foreclosed homes during the third quarter sold for an average of $182,000, a 42.2 discount from the overall average sale price, according…
