Maryland seeks to have ACC's $52M suit dismissed
Maryland Attorney General Douglas Gansler has filed an antitrust lawsuit against the Atlantic Coast Conference over its attempt to charge the University of Maryland $52.2 million for leaving the conference.
The move, announced Friday, is the latest legal twist following UM’s decision in November to bolt the ACC and join the Big Ten conference in 2014.
Gansler’s office filed suit in Circuit Court for Prince George’s County on Friday on behalf of UM and the University System of Maryland Board…
