Marshalls near deal to open Inner Harbor store
Marshalls, the department store chain known for selling fashion at a discount, is finalizing a deal to take over the former Filene’s Basement space in downtown Baltimore.
Howard S. Brown, chairman of David S. Brown Enterprises Ltd., told the Business Journal on Friday his firm is about a “day or two” away from closing the deal with the national discount retailer. Marshalls would take the 37,000 square feet Filene’s occupied in the Lockwood Place building.
